Walks Forward

1 With correct posture, commence for example with feet together, weight on left foot
2 Maintaining the posture throughout, commence to move the body weight forward
3 Move RF forward, first on ball of foot, then releasing floor contact to arrive on the heel, immediately lowering to the flat of foot at the extent of the stride
4 The heel of the back foot is released as centre weight is achieved, creating a long line through the back leg
5 Draw left foot toward right foot with pressure on the ball of the foot, simultaneously collecting the body weight onto the right foot

Continue with a LF Walk in the same manner

Note

When Walks are taken in Promenade Position, the same principles apply
